Environmental Impact...
Important Facts concerning home car washing VS using a
Professional Car Wash
When you wash your vehicle at home, you don’t realize how much
water
you waste, or where all of that dirty, contaminated water goes.
Home car washing releases contaminated water directly into storm drains
that
are intended for rainwater or directly into the local environment by
entering the soil.
This type of run-off can add to pollution in rivers, lakes,
and streams. Much testing and study has been performed by the International
Car Wash Association and other independent groups that prove that home car
washing uses up to twice as much water as a professional car wash does.
Professional Car Washes Use Water in a safe and efficient manner
Local, State and Federal regulations now require stringent controls on the way a professional car wash is built and how it handles its water usage.
We are required to pipe our dirty water into on site treatment facilities and/or state approved drainage facilities designed to protect the local environment. We also use water efficient equipment, pumps and nozzles which allow us to conserve water. In addition, the vast majority of our water is recycled using specially designed systems, allowing for minimal environmental impact. This allows us to clean cars thoroughly in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.
Lessons learned about polluting the environment
Over the years, Ocean County residents and people all over the world have learned the hard way the effects of polluting the environment. It is time to realize that home car washing also can have negative effects on our quality of life and that this problem can be easily eliminated by using a professional car wash.
